My Spelling Workbook

Develop a class of independent spellers.

Engage your pupils in spelling

My Spelling Workbook uses a multi-sensory approach to spelling using look, say, trace, cover, write, check. The series promotes independent learning of spelling in context and features a proven metacognitive approach to spelling. Through using all aspects of thinking, pupils not only learn how to spell but also how to retain and use these words in context.

What do teachers think about My Spelling Workbook?

We have recently introduced My Spelling Workbook on a school wide basis. We find that the layout, the use of colour and the activities appeal to the children. Many of the activities really challenge the children. As the book is used throughout the school, children are familiar with it from year to year, and thereby have increased confidence in themselves while using it. We will be continuing to use this book for the foreseeable future.

My spelling workbook is a fantastic scheme that challenges students at an age appropriate level and always include high frequency words on the list. The teachers resource book has dictation for every unit and alternative weeks spelling and dictation has really improved children’s spelling.
— Claire Birmingham, Teacher
My Spelling workbook is a wonderful scheme, especially in the senior classes. As well as having the spellings very well laid out, there is a fabulous amount of vocabulary covered. The words in the 5th and 6th books are quite challenging, but by the end of the year the pupils will have a great command of English. I find that the vocabulary used in children’s stories has improved immensely since using this scheme.
